Today a fish will be
eaten
Sucked into the mouth
of a trout
Digested and melted
Keeping the trout
full and content
Today a trout will be
caught
A hook in its mouth
Will pull it from its
habitat
The fisherman will
feel excitement
The
trout will feel adrenaline
The
fish will be gutted
Cooked
and consumed
The
belly of the fisherman
Will
be full and content
A
tomato lay on its vine
Eating
the sunshine
It
feels warm and full
A
grasshopper
Tears
through the tomatoes skin
Licking
its warm juices
The
grasshopper is satisfied
Life
will feed on life
The
mixture of death and life
Dancing
on the world stage
For
all to see, feel, an consume
Happy
dining
If I designed the world, I would do so on less pain and terror. But that's just me. Great Poem though, it's a sort of "in your face" kind of poem that screams the apathy of nature.
ReplyDeleteAh well, another day, another carrot.
I belive that it is the terror and pain that make life...life.I think without that life would lose its meaning...the best of times would seem without purpose
