To Living

Life Moves
Trapped in time
Until it’s up.

This moment
A memory.

Enjoy it
While it’s here.
It’s gone.

To the next adventure
To the new dream
To destinations and realities unquestioned
To life
That cannot be tamed
Refuses to be frozen
Outside of time and space.

One Step

You have to put one
Foot in front of the other
If you want to go forward.

Just take one step
Without thinking
Trip trap, trip trap
That's all there is to do.

Don't think too hard
Just lift it and place
Your foot down
In front of you.

One step is all it takes
One step
Again
and
Again
Will take you miles.

One step
Lift your self and go!

Social Anxiety

..

Hardness in my chest
The Beast never rests
Clawing its way out.

I breath
Just a little
Feeling crippled
Afraid that you'll get out.

A block in the road
A scary old toad
Likes to sit and be
Alone.

When can I be free?
Who I want to be.
Can I keep the Beast
Not too near.

Or will you mistreat me?
Use me
Abuse me
Leave me
Out to die?
The Beast is here.

I withdraw,
The pain too great.
The Beast inside
Clawing its way
Shredding at the gate.

When the Beast is near
I have to take care
That it is just the fear
Inside eating away.

Letting no one in
Keeping its distance,
The sad wounded animal
It is.

Greatness

You are great
I can see that
I love you
I want too.

You are great
Show me
I know it's there.

You are great
The cry of despair
As you are afraid to
Show your feathers
Open your wings!
SCREAM AND SHOUT!!!

Share your greatness with us,
We need you.
You are all that you are
And that is great.

You are great
You are free to be
Who you want
The choice is yours
And yours alone,
Never give up the good fight.

You are enough
You are pure
No one can ever
Take that away from you.

Ode to Muddy

Rockin old man
Cranky and smelly
Farts loud and thunderous
The ultimate dog.

Hiking to exhaustion
With a smile so large
And a wag so wide

This is an ode to you pal
A lover of life
Of belly rubs and smells
Of barks and walks
Of sniffing smelly dog butts

Mud Man
The dog of dogs
I love you

Summer

Here we go
With no direction
Routine  or arrangement
Thinking of the posabilitys
The mediocre mixed with the past present and future
With the excitement of life
The many different faces, phases
It's time to close my eyes
Travel to far away lands
Start a new
Welcoming the yellow sun bursting over the mountain top

Blank Chalk Boards

I don't know if there is a plan

I don't think there is

We are in charge of our own slate

With some help and guidance

Vibrating with what our high nature sings

Offering that service to the universe

You were born to shape

Listen. It speaks softly

Distributing with our action, thoughts and words.

The individual part of the whole

All connected with this life

in the darkness and blinding light

The angel you are to the unseen

You don't even know

what service you bring

But by simply being you in thought and deed

unconsciously serving the higher thing.

Give

I want to give

The pure me

The part of me that smiles

That can lift you up

Take you to new heights

While discovering something new

About you, about this world, about myself

I want to give

And keep on giving

Until there is nothing left

And something more is created

I want to give

It all

Keep on giving that which transcends

May we lift the universe

Ground Control to Major Tom

Jump!
Jump!
Jump!
As high as you can
As much as you can
With a smile on your face

It's about living
It's not about filling
It's about feeling

Walking out into the unknown
It is dangerous
Feeling sensitivity
It is wonder's

Life is not a box
It is not a noun
An action a verb
To be lived
Felt
With joy and openness

Love from your heart
Feel from your soul
Create with God
This life

Your Life
Whatever you choose to make it
Jump!

Changing The World

The world changes with every breath you take

The world changes with every word you utter

The world changes with every gesture you construct

The world changes

When you change

When you open yourself to the possibilities

When you open your heart to all peoples

Of every color, sex, and religion

The world changes

With you

The you that chooses love instead of hate

The you that believes in all human potential

The you that gives to the unknown without judgments

The you that allows your self to think

And feel

And love

And sympathizes

For all of gods gifts

The world changes

When you open your eyes

With your heart

And start seeing a new world

And start renewing your self on joy

And feel full from the fruits of life

Then one day

You may look back

On that world

That blue marble

Floating in a vacuum

And give it filled and free

And with delight

To the little ones that inherit it

Thank you Charlie Chaplin  for the inspiration

If I Could Write

If I could write
A poem
I would write one with random
Thoughts trying to speak with the
Heart but it's hard to reach out
Importance, mediocre, antonyms
Blah blah blah,
Broken record.........
The World Series is on.

A Warning From the Past

onlyfatrabbit.tumblr.com -

The father land

Pleading for peace

Preparing for war

The Fuhrer a hypocrite

Tells the people what they want to hear

While preparing the opposite

The trains run on time

Technocratic and lethal

Death and destruction at peak

Paranoid, final solution to deal with imagine dragons

The most efficient society

 The rotting flesh still stinks

The death of its victims

The death of its faithful

Very patriotic citizens

Policies have been studied

Practices have been copied

This is a warning

That even the land of the free

Can become a slave society

Big brother in our pockets

Flickering screens

And you buy your own

They watch and listen

In our comfortable complacency

We trade freedoms for security

Building walls against our imagined enemies

Torture, drones, surveillance

As acceptable strategy

Our prisons are full

Most citizens serving in the world

We are watched

While drones bomb the innocent

What are we turning into?

I am my Fathers Son

I am my fathers son

One of the lucky ones

To have a dad to look up too

Not just to look up too

For there are many things to be proud of

I am my fathers son

I love to read and write

I love to aggravate with humor

And argue the meaning of meanings

I am my fathers son

With a love of baseball

And a dark blight

I go off into night

To ponder the meaning of the light

I am my fathers son

If I can be half the dad

To my future son

Or daughter

Than I would be doing

The world a favor

For we all need dads

I am blessed to be

My fathers son

Bogged Down in the Weight of Life

onceuponasubstitute.blogspot.com

"There is nothing more tragic than for any individual to be bogged down in the weight of life"  Martin Luther King Jr. spoke.

And is there any thing more tragic?

To be so concerned and focused on things that really do not matter

The echoes of judgment

The pursuit of happiness

The longing of need and greed

Some times I cant breath

Am I wasting time?

Am I good enough?

Is what I am doing matter?

This is the marshy putrid bog

These ideas reek with rot and decay

As they are thought and mold the soul

Bleed out the parasite

If you are true to your heart

You can never go wrong

An Ode to Baseball

The crack of the bat

The ball that goes splat

Caught in the glove

That is that

Americas pastime

It is sublime

Three strikes your out

Root root for the home team

The green diamond

The dirt track

Home is all the sweeter

When you get back

This is our game

This is our fame

Nine innings

Makes the best thing

Goat Dominaton

Common herd animal
With an uncommonly large heart
They like to baa its kinda their art
They turn to games of illusion and play
Just don't get in their way
For their heads are not like beds
And they can tear your thread into
Shred if they so desire

Watch their eyes
They have something desired
As they jump and run
It's not just for fun
Domination begins
The goats will win
Terror on four legs

Take care of your goats
Before its too late
And you are on their plate
All for calling them
A common herd animal

Thoughts on God

I think it's funny how every one knows god
I think it's funny that every one can speak for god
I think it's funny that those who have all the answers
Truly have nothing solved
I think it's funny we all want the same thing
We are openly ready to put an idol on a cross
Even if we unknowingly nail ourselves down
I guess my brain is too small to know her will
I guess that's why I just can ponder him
Knowing that I can not know god
But sometimes I can glimpse a truth
Even if its only mine

On Writing

hastac.org

Its been a while

But I am still here

Its been a while

But who really cares

Its been a while

Strokes on a keyboard

The pitter patter of a thru z

Leaving out those letters that do not work

To write something

For no real reason

Just to write

And assure my self

Of nothing really

Just to write

A need

My light

www.pbs.org

It is found amongst family and friends

Smiles shared and time spent

A drive in the fog unable to see

It is found within me

It is my light you see

A synonym for life

The grand paradox of separation

Found within the whole

It shines in the forest

The deserts and wetlands

How we are all connected

Unable to see that string

We can feel

I take a chance to ruin this poem

But I must express my wish

Where we can all find this light

Free from criticism

From a truth that truly does not exist

For isn't every different lie every mans truth

and is that not ok?

Alone on the trail

But not alone

I feel the grass on my hand

The sweet fragrance of a flower in the air

The brightness from a singing bird

This is my light you see

It is not something that you can take from me

We all have our own light

Shine on

Shine on

Sandy Hook Elementary

Trying to ignore it best I could
Something's you cant ignore
Did not watch the news
Did not look on the internet
Avoided

An angel with an apple
A wood sculpture at Hallmark
Teared up in the mall

It has an effect
On every one
Gets into our lives
No matter how we try
To not let it in
