The echo howls through
halls
While a question is
purposely ignored
Trying to keep face
While strangers listen
to problems
A simple solution
would be simple
However non existent
As the words contained
herein
Are deep and
meaningless
Finding fulfillment in
the mundane
Distraction of movies
and sound
Driving lights to the
population
To brighten their day
without smile
A jogger that is too
full to run
Is bitten by misquotes
to feed their young
Books that must be
read
And lectures that must
be addressed
When will the energy
come
To soundly rest?
This meaningless poem
Finds its way to the
internet
To a blog
To your computer
And if the poet is any
good
Into your thoughts
And once into your thoughts
Assuming the poem is
any good
Which we know is not
Will you not eat its
content?
And if you do not
drink of its meaning
What is the purpose
behind the words?
May be the poet is
just full of hypocrisy
And like the mosquito
He feeds it to his young
As Charles Dickens says in his analogy in A Christmas Carol....I feel like you are as close to me in this poem as if you were on my elbow. Your presence is right here. Nice job.
