Jedi Spock

Half human
Half  Vulcan

Part time science officer
Full time Jedi

Vulcan neck pinch
Mind powers
A phaser
A lightsaber

He is defined
Yet conflicted

The Klingons attack
Darth Vader waits
Kirk commands

Its not east being Jedi Spock
The universe needs saving
He is a man of two worlds
Or a Vulcan?

Kahn killed him
Nero destroyed his home world

Falling ever more to the dark side
He has no passion
But that half human desire
Remains

Existential Crises

It can’t be a midlife crises
Expiring at fifty two
I hope I have something to offer
to you

What to present the world?
What value to bring to your life?
What gifts may I wrap?

What is the significance?
The purpose behind the living?
The light in the shadows?
The godhead becoming?

Finding meaning and purpose
A life quest
Dead in the grave
What shall I leave behind?

To be or not to be?
Am I or am I not?
To live or to not?
There are many robots

Is it enough to be a good person
Nice to all that you can be?

Is it enough to live every day to its fullest
To have a worth while experience every minute?

Is it enough to understand?
There truly is no point?
The universe is not personal?

Is god truly dead?
Or are we the aged and decrepit?
Unable to feel
Too fat to swim
To hooked to move

I am a blip
So fast yet infinite
Is there an echo?

Pain and pleasure
Disgust and beauty
Damage and revitalization
I hope I didn’t wound you

Asserting existence
The land of should
Has fallen away

The dragon has been cut
Its scales shed
The camel births a lion

Falling down
Up and sideways
Drowning into
The bright center

Is there a difference between
Destiny and catastrophe?
Is it that individual?
Or is it reflection?

Narcissistic manifestation
I can’t stand hypocrites
I pray to god
I am to deaf to hear an answer

Teach me how
To be like you
Follow every rule
Bursting bubbles in the hall
With no room to hear the fall
Can you help me?

I am not my wear
I am not my body
My body is the temple
Of my essence

If you are to judge me
Judge me by my smile
The brown glair of my being

If I am to judge you
I hate to judge you
I am a hypocrite

School Days

The sound of laughter

The cheer from the choir

As the principal is maimed

Red yellow orange and blue

A simile is compared with two

As hearts kitties and butterflies

It is about passion

The applaud from the crowd

Drenched in rubber like water

A boss on the roof

Smiling with joyful hilarity

The path I walk

Memorial Day

Thank you for
Your service
Your undying patriotism
Your generous act of valor

Thank you for
Your heroism
Your selflessness
Your supreme sacrifice

Thank you for
Doing what it takes
To keep democracy alive
To keep freedom free
To keep our families out of harm's way
To cast off tyranny
Shake off oppression

Thank you to
All the men and women
Who have given their lives
To keep this soil
Free and cleansed
Keeping this country
The best in the world

A Lily Gray

Screw it lets go live
drum the night away
Feel the rhythm through the bones
And melt your ears with fervor

Screw it lets go live
Reject our condition
Our wakening dead
Our sleeping madness

Screw it lets go live
Dance the night away
Connect with the obsession
The bleeding  souls
Of the lonely destitute

Screw it lets go live
Falling away the
Hot demon shell
Opening up the pain
Of the living

Screw it lets go live
The clock will stop
And all will be still

A Mans Gotta Do (D.H. Part 2 of 5)

Finally I have the change

The opportunity to revolutionize

And make better

It’s my will

And it is in action

It hurts

Being beaten

And drummed on the hood of a van

I just need a second to catch my breath

If only I had the foresight

To know what actually

Needs to be done

I have the wonderflownium

The time has come

Finally

The future can only tell

 Will I have everything?

Bad horse has got to see

Damn captain hammer

Darth Yoda

Yoda has turned to the dark side

He allowed his compulsions to tame him

His mind is warped

And now has befallen

Everything he did not want

Became a great warrior

And struck down the emperor

He did not run from the fight

Did not let the Empire win

There was no swampy hole to hide in

His wild passions

Frustrations, ambitions

And desires

Made him

He knows suffering all to well

You can’t stand in his way

It is futile to help him

He will strike you down

Darth Yoda

The ultimate Power

Consumed by the void

Empty and unfulfilled

He knows the influence of

The dark side

And lost himself

To his obsessions

Come Alive

Feel your heart
Your inner awareness
Screaming at you
At the top of its lungs
Begging you to feed it

You feed your body
You feed your mind
Have you feed your soul?

Follow that dream
That dream that you
Have had since you where little

Fly that plane
Sail that boat
Travel to that place

That place of your inner self
Your passion
Your soul
Your self
Your life

Pleading with your
Body and mind
In the form of
 Anxiety
Depression
Restlessness

Stop medicating yourself
And just halt
And listen to
That which you have always
Wanted to say

Freeze Ray (D.H. Part 1 of 5)

It’s my tool

My invention

My toy

That will free me

That will add to me

That will make it real

It’s all a gag really

Another thing to make

Me think that I

Am better

I won’t really feel anything

Other than what I am already feeling

Where would I be without

My escape?

Drift Wood

Floating through time and space
A piece of wood
Soggy with passion and desire
Drifts aimlessly

Going with the flow
Of the current
Ending up on barren beaches
And flooded lands

The log continues
On its journey
With no sense of purpose
Or what it is

It just lets the tide
Carry it from
Beach to beach
With no destination
or heading

Go For It!

Feel the heat of the grass
The winter storm in your ear
The hose trickling down your spin
Makes you feel alive

Sailing down a river
With the wind to guide you
There is no path

There is a fly in the garden
Devouring the flowers
The birds are singing
It sounds like water

The dog will hog the bed
Take a picture
Use the light
Real film
Is it alive?

Are you breathing?
Full of life
Full of love
Fill your lungs
Fill your heart
Live your life

Go for it!
Really go for it!
BREATH!
LIVE!
LOVE!
And be merry

Eating Life

Today a fish will be eaten
Sucked into the mouth of a trout
Digested and melted
Keeping the trout full and content

Today a trout will be caught
A hook in its mouth
Will pull it from its habitat

The fisherman will feel excitement
The trout will feel adrenaline

The fish will be gutted
Cooked and consumed

The belly of the fisherman
Will be full and content

A tomato lay on its vine
Eating the sunshine
It feels warm and full

A grasshopper
Tears through the tomatoes skin
Licking its warm juices
The grasshopper is satisfied

Life will feed on life
The mixture of death and life
Dancing on the world stage
For all to see, feel, an consume

Happy dining

Plain White Tee

Inspired from Kahlil Gibran’s Poem “Said a Sheet of Snow-White Paper”

A plain white tee

Was sitting in the hamper

All alone

Baskin in its white unveiled glory

Across the hamper

Lay the shirts with design

Bright colors and graphics

The bright shirts lay in the washer

Piled on top of one and other

They begged the plain white tee

To join them in the bubbly soup

To allow their color to bleed upon it

The plain white tee

Just sat in its hamper

In disgust of the suggestion

It was the whitest most pure shirt

It wanted to stay that way

And the plain white tee

Basking in its own unveiled glory

Did remain white, colorless, and empty

Six Years in the Making

What have we been?
Where are we going?
Where will life take us?
The true story
Only god knows

Tears of joy
Laughter of sorrow
Smiles of compassion
Talk of understanding
Lips of compromise

A love that is committed
A life that is shared
Two people who still care

Six years and counting
We spend our lives together
Happily happy
And sorrowly sad
A combination
A connection
A love that
We share

YOUR Reality

Make up YOUR mind
It is YOUR mind
No one else can mold it

You have to choose
How YOU want to be
No one can make YOUR decision

Its all about YOUR view
YOUR own reality
That collides with other realities

YOUR mind
YOUR choice
YOUR reality

Radio

Dancing in rush hour traffic
The world seems a little less dull
Rockin out to the rock
Let there be music

Bombarded constantly
With judgment and genius
The effects are incalculable

Exhaustion is crippling
Heat is melting
Water is cool

Thank god for goodness
Thank god for people
Thank god for parents
Thank god for love

What is the situation?
Smoggy conditions
That hurt lungs

Let’s continue
To do are best
The best is all you
Can do

The Old Tree

I sat by the old tree
I begged it to tell me
The secrets it hides

The old tree just stood there
Unacknowledging my existence
I stood up
And pleaded with the old tree
“What does it take to be happy?”

It just stayed
Still, allowing its leafs to trickle down
I kicked
And yelled at the old tree
“Tell me what I need to know!”

The old tree was still ignoring me
Standing tall and proud
I got an ax
And chopped it down

The old tree was now in pieces
Its sap lay sticky on my hands
I made a fire
And burned the old trees limbs

The old tree finally was talking
It crackled and popped
Alas I could not understand
I lay there around its burn
Empty and warm
And looked up at the heavens
